Aberdeenshire Council, reconsider your decision to stifle BrewDog's local growth!
This petition had 272 supporters
BrewDog want to expand their business in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. They want to build a world class hotel, outstanding restaurant, conference centre and bespoke distillery just behind their existing brewery. This project would see them invest £5m into the local area and create over 80 new local jobs.
However, the project cannot go ahead because the council are refusing to sell the land at fair market value, indeed, they are insisting on charging over 60 times fair market value for the land they need to make this exciting local project happen.
For clarity, the land was independently valued at £5k per acre yet Aberdeenshire Council are insisting on a value of £300k per acre (x2.5 acres) which makes the project impossible to pull off.
Let's show the council what we think of their decision making skills.
Please remember to share with your own contacts, the more people that see this the better!
