Laurencekirk Development Trust are looking to our community for support in retaining the playing fields for use by Laurencekirk and the wider Mearns community.

• Let us not lose further green space, up to three playing fields: a valuable asset to our town and neighbouring communities
• We have a growing community that requires health and well-being support
• Already adjacent to the new Mearns Community Campus which currently is not equipped with grass playing fields
• Danger if we do not take control the site could be used for further housing
• Competitive events in archery, football, rugby, hockey and athletics are anticipated, bringing visitors and therefore trade to Laurencekirk
