Take back what they said about "uncool fatties"
The Issue
Abercrombie markets to the people they find "beautiful", and their definition of "beautiful" is to be "thin and beautiful". These are the exact words from Abercrombie's CEO, Mike Jeffries. This directly targets overweight females, the "uncool fatties" Abercrombie does not want as shoppers. Specifically, "In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids... We go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don't belong [in our clothes], and they can't belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely."
The "cool kids". This is what I am furious about. If you are skinny, you are a "cool kid", according to Abercrombie. If you are overweight, you are NOT, most definitely NOT a "cool kid", just because you aren't a size 0, or anorexic, for that matter, if they're that shallow. How DARE they. In these times of anti-bullying, they have the nerve to say which groups of people are "cool" and which aren't based on their weight and body shape?! That is low, Abercrombie. I mean, it's one thing to have a limited size selection, so your stock is for petite people, but to call other groups that cannot fit into your size uncool? It's just so disgusting. Not only that, but take a look at this:

So they go after celebrities to trash about, too. The shirt is no longer selling though, after Swiftie fans put an end to that. But seriously, Abercrombie. I could care less about the t-shirt, I mean, the company is already on my hate-list. But to go as far as calling overweight people "uncool"? I can't imagine a more shallow company. Obviously looks is the only thing that matters to them, and I am absolutely disgusted with them. I'm sure to never recommend Abercrombie & Fitch to any of my friends, because of their repulsive view on people. Skinny = Beautiful. Fat = Uncool, ugly. Is this where society is now? Putting people down because of their weight? I am repulsed. I'm considering never stepping foot in one of their stores ever again. It sickens me to see these greedy, shallow people making all this money and still putting people down because of their size. Have you ever seen chubby models walking around A&F? I didn't think so. It's not appealing. Overweight people will never have a chance with Abercrombie.
