Last Board meeting, the District agreed to put the equity office position as an item on the next Board meeting agenda (10/20)!!! Thank you to each and every one of you who spoke up for students of color and for the dire need of an equity officer, this wouldn't have been possible without your activism and voice.

The Cerritos College Board President Marisa Perez has supported our efforts and is in the process of implementing an equity department within Cerritos College. Soon we will be having an open zoom meeting to discuss how to move forward and answer questions on what equity looks like on school grounds and possible avenues we can suggest to the Board. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the different aspects of equity and how we can best attend to and help our students/children within ABCUSD.
