Please Air Marvel's "Most Wanted" TV Pilot For Fans

Marvel Television and ABC's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is a show that is enjoyed by countless Marvel fans around the world, and one of the reasons it has become so popular is the incredible group of actors that have been cast, from the well-known and loved Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson and Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson to the brilliant Brett Dalton as Grant Ward and Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz. However, the cast improved significantly when British actor Nick Blood and American actress Adrianne Palicki joined the show at the beginning of Season 2 as characters Lance Hunter and Agent Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) respectively. As characters, they had a brilliant dynamic as friends and lovers, Bobbi being Hunter's ex, who both couldn't stand each other, yet couldn't stand being apart. Their relationship brought a new level of humanity and emotion to the show, and the witty script for their scenes, both together and apart, was precious. Hunter's dry British humour and Morse's quick, witty responses were a delight to watch and the characters stole the spotlight in every scene they were in together. It was because of this that their departure from the show in the middle of Season 3 was so emotional. However, we fans didn't entirely despair, as we knew the reason they had been written out of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was because they had been confirmed for their own spin-off show, Marvel's "Most Wanted", a show that had been originally put forward and developed for ABC, but which ABC had passed on back in April 2015. An entire year later, the characters of Bobbi and Hunter had been so well developed and had become so well-loved by fans that the idea of their own spin-off show was re-imagined and subsequently brought back into production earlier this year. The thought of getting an entire series based around these two hugely popular characters was incredibly exciting. A fair amount of details about the show were gradually released, including the basic premise of a conspiracy and man-hunt for the pair and the casting of Delroy Lindo and Fernanda Andrade as characters Dominic Fortune and Christina Santos respectively. The pilot episode was filmed and wrapped production in March this year, with writers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski (The X-Files, Angel, Lost) penning the script, which was praised by previous ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee.
It was thus with great disappointment that fans around the world heard the announcement that after reviewing the pilot, ABC had yet again passed on the series, and that all the hard work put into the new spin-off had gone to waste. So it turned out that two of the most beloved characters from "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." had been written out of the show... for nothing.
Therefore, this petition is specifically directed to new ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey and president of Disney/ABC Television Ben Sherwood to ask them to re-consider their repeated decision to pass on Marvel's "Most Wanted" and to, at the very least, decide to air the finished pilot episode on television - simply to see what the reaction from fans is. To a greater or lesser extent, we all know how television companies work, but surely it should be down to the fans themselves to decide whether or not a new Marvel Television show is worth broadcasting or not? After all, we are the ones who will be viewing your channel to watch it.
I do not believe a small group of company executives can rightly speak on behalf of all Marvel fans around the world by deciding whether or not a new Marvel show is good enough to broadcast.
So as a sincere request from the entire Marvel fanbase to ABC's Channing Dungey and Ben Sherwood, I would like to respectfully request for you to air the pilot episode of Marvel's "Most Wanted" and review the audience reaction. It's the least you can do after making Bobbi and Hunter's difficult departure from Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." all for nothing.
