I ask that you join me in helping give Drop Dead Diva, a show about second chances, another chance itself. Let’s get our favorite show back on the air under a different network. Once this petition has a large enough following I will contact the networks of USA, TV Land and ABC Family about the possibility of getting Drop Dead Diva the season 7 it deserves. Drop Dead Diva is a legal comedy/drama that has held it’s own for six seasons on Lifetime. After season four Lifetime cancelled Drop Dead Diva due to cost cuts but after seeing an outpour of love from the fans wanting more of their favorite show they resurrected the series bringing it back for two more seasons. On June 22, 2014 the finale episode of season six titled “It Had to be You” was dubbed the very last episode for Drop Dead Diva after Lifetime decided to cancel the series a second time. With over 1.66 million people tuning in for the finale, Drop Dead Diva still has a strong and devoted fanbase as proved by high ratings. We brought the show back once and we can do it again. There is still so much that can be explored with the plot of this brilliantly written show. Creator and Executive Producer, Josh Berman even recently told TVLine.com that he would be happy to finish telling the story of our favorite characters stating, “If another network is interested in picking up the show, I would be happy to tell that story. I love Drop Dead Diva. I love these characters and I’m sad to say goodbye to them.”
