Hello friends! AbbVie gave the green light yesterday to begin distribution. The manufacturing piece is done. The formula is ready for pediatric release. HUGE but....we have a problem. Presently the distributors have not yet supplied the pharmacies with the formulation. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone yesterday with AbbVie, two Accredo reps, one supervisor, and one pharmacist who was very empathetic but had no idea when he would receive the formulation. Today I called and spoke with our Ambassador again, as well as called Pharmacy Solutions to see if there are ANY pharmacies carrying it. We have the prescription from my daughters gastroenterologist but it’s totally delayed by the wholesalers and distributors. I need you to call your pharmacies and ask for the citrate free Humira to be stocked. Then I need us to figure out who the distributors are so that we can call the right people to push this along. There are over 3,000 of us on this petition. I know we can do this. I’ve already spent a couple hours on the phone today. My last call today will be to Express Scripts as I know Accredo partners with them. Accredo and Pharmacy Solutions won’t give me distributors names and numbers. I need your help to track that down. Make some noise. The formula released May 1, and we were told would be available to pharmacies May 7. We need to keep pushing. Just FYI your GI needs to write for exactly worded “Humira without citrate buffers”. The new needle is a 29 gauge and the fluid volume has been reduced by half. Thank you! Caity
