MPs REFORM ACT 2016

MPs REFORM ACT 2016
The Issue
After seeking election on the slogan, 'We are the servants of the People", our MPs have made themselves as a pampered lot. These self seeking MPs have obscenely sanctioned themselves salaries perks and pensions as if they are employees of the Union of India, beyond the pale of legitimacy.
1. Salaries more than the First Citizen of India, the President.
2. Free :
(a) fully furnished home and office in the poshest locality of Delhi;
(b) unlimited travel & travel allowance throughout the Country for self and assisstant;
(c) unlimited telecalls;
(d) unlimited electricity;
(e) unlimited water;
(f) unlimited subsidised cooking gas;
(g) vishwa darshan for many;
(h) unlimited medical treatment any where in the World;
(j) air travel in executive class for family 08 times per year.
(k) highly subsidised food at ridiculously low rates in the Parliament Canteen
3. Rs 2,000 daily allowance for creating ruckus in the Parliament and not let it transact any business.
4. Whereas, every other employee of the Union of India has a retirement age, MPs have none.
5. Whereas, every employee has to put in 15 yrs for minimum pension and 20 yrs for full pension, MPs need to put in just 05 years or part thereof, for full pension
Let us petition to the President and PM of India to introduce MPs Reform Act 2016 in the two parliaments to ensure the following :
(a) They be declared employees of the Union of India and then receive salaries, pension and perks be in line with other employees or if they do not wish to so categories, remove all pay, pension and perks.
(b) Remove all allowances and subsidies not in consonance with any other Central Govt employee.
(c) Retirement age be fixed same as any other employee of the Union of India, i.e., a graded maximum of 60 yrs.
(d) Medical treatment be on the same terms and conditions as any other Central Govt employee.
(e) Strict conduct rules be framed and promulgated as "MPs Inside and Outside Parliament Conduct Rules, 2016".
(f) A permanent committee of serving judges be appointed to oversee any misconduct of any MP, referred to them by any citizen of India.
