The Issue
I'm just like you, a fellow American, having trusted Aspen Dental to take care of my dental needs. My tragic journey began when they broke off one of my wisdom teeth during extraction and decided to leave it in there. Fast forward a year and a half later, this broken tooth has begun to protrude through my gums and has now abscessed. This is not just a discomfort, it's a life-threatening situation for me due to my weakened immune system. It's an unexpected and preventable emergency that Aspen Dental's protocols don't seem to accommodate. They made me wait four days for a checkup. When I sought help from upper management, I was met with indifference as my issue was only addressed after another four days of anxious waiting.
Mine is not an isolated case. I found others who have suffered similar pain and anguish because of Aspen Dental's existing protocols. There needs to be an urgent change. From proper handling of post-surgery complaints to immediate responses for emergency situations, Aspen Dental owes its patients more respect and care.
This isn't just about one person, it's about all of us. Today, it's me. Tomorrow, it could be someone else in agony, waiting for days to get help. We need to stand together, share our stories and demand accountability. Aspen Dental, one of the largest and most profitable network of dental offices in the US, should prioritize effective patient care over an impersonal and potentially harmful check-in-ticket system.
Join me in demanding reform in Aspen Dental's patient care policies. Your signature could save a life, it could bring the necessary change we all need. Let's ensure that no patient lives in needless suffering because of preventable negligence. Please, sign this petition today.
I was contacted by someone from Corporate with no resolution. Let’s share this petition NATIONWIDE. Let’s get them shut down completely. They made almost 79 billion in 2023 simply pushing procedures and maxing out peoples insurance to do so!
