Filmgoers want it. Fans demand it. Distributors restricted it - but everyone is losing out on it. We're talking about Ari Aster's Midsommar: Director's Cut, the 2019 folk horror film that has been made an Apple TV exclusive. While we're unfamiliar with the details between the likely partnership that came to this decision - it has only failed a wider group of people in more ways than one as result.

Any forum, review questioning this decision or social media posts regarding it has clearly shown the majority are not in favor for this at all. Unfortunately, even more restrictions are added given that the only legal way to obtain it is through U.S. Apple Store or the Region 2 U.K. Blu-Ray release. I mention legal due to the fact that even licensed buisnesses are selling unauthorized copies of it. A24, you're literally losing out on monetary gain and the demand of your fans wanting to pay for it. I opted not to purchase an unauthorized copy myself even after paying for a theatrical cut because like me and so many others - we're still hopeful for an official release. Demand is there but so is the one for bootlegs copies to be sold by retailers as well. 

Do this for your fans. You have everything to gain with this. Let everyone enjoy the director's cut of Midsommar. Thank you.
