The commercial and office based tenants of Connaught Village, many of whom have been long standing in the community, are requesting help in these unprecedented times. The majority of these shops and offices, if not all, are small independent businesses and are struggling immensely during the Covid-19 shut down. The businesses have no idea when they can start trading again and are running out of cash flow at an immense speed. We request support and help by requesting a 3 month rent free period. Many businesses do not want to take out the Government Business Interruption Loan as this will inevitably create problems further down the line. When the time comes and the shops are allowed to reopen, Connaught Village will no longer be the same as it was before. The business owners work long and hard to create successful businesses and in this way, promote Connaught Village. We have given our heart and soul to our businesses and need help to stand strong. Many, many businesses will be forced to shut their doors for good if we are forced to pay rent at a time when we are making no money at all. Not to mention the amount of jobs that can be lost due to this. The shops and offices are what create the unique atmosphere and vibe in this small enclave in London. Please help us raise awareness for this beautiful and small community that is such an incredible part of hidden London and ensure we have the help we need to carry on trading. We need your help now.
