Why this petition matters

The sudden unexpected illogical end of our awesome cheerful happy honourable 19 year old son Samuel Eamon Palm’s life on the evening of 12th January 2019 on “Tooloombah Station”, Marlborough, Queensland, was immediately deemed by the local Police to be self inflicted, an assumption concluded too quickly.

From my own extensive research, it wasn’t.  But that is not the point.  The second last thing I can do for our son is to pursue the evidence to whatever end.  The last is to lay your ashes to rest Sam once we know what happened to you ❤️.

The coroner’s department still continues almost four years later to inhumanely refuse to release certain information to me (including the Police Report) which is necessary for us to know what really happened to our beloved son Sam.  For instance I would like to see the X-ray which shows inappropriate ‘damage to Sam’s jaw’.

This is Queensland, Australia, not a corrupt third world country.

To the Queensland coroner, please release to me the information I have requested countless times.  It is not in the Public Interest for it to be potentially so easy if people are involved in the accidental death of someone/anyone, to then rush to make an (illogical) statement to the Police saying the person was ‘suicidal’, and for them to also have the ability to request that their statements are withheld from the family.

Subsequent to the Police’s attendance, I found unknown tyre tracks and shoe prints (next to Sam’s tractor, not made by the Police, made sometime after about 3pm on Sam’s last day), wrong brand of stubbie lid on the table, (but the stubbie bottle itself was not left behind on Tooloombah), wrong brand of tobacco on the table … the police and the coroner did not investigate what I found.

Note:  Although someone else’s DNA was found on the trigger of the gun which killed Sam, it is said to be “insufficient for further testing”.
