This site is about creation and creativity. A place where we are connected by technology and make amazing projects with our own hands, not in the hands of artificial intelligence. I need to ask that you lock in and keep a good attention span for this, please. This is all very important and needs to be read to the end. You know that little notice you got today about also having to give your state? Bet you didn't actually read through the policy and terms and conditions and what-not. I mean, not many of us do. I didn't. It's a good thing some people do. It could've otherwise gone right over our heads. Scratch has mentioned planning AI, as said in the project I linked at the top. For their child-directed site...? It's horrible. We don't even know what this means for us. Maybe it'll happen and we won't even notice it. Maybe it's for something that won't impact us (though I highly doubt that). Or maybe Scratch will fall down the same pit Roblox did. Where do we then go from there? So many of us on here are artists. And we are outraged. Left and right, it's AI, AI, AI. We've had enough. Whatever happened to society? It's already a disaster, especially here in America for me. Do I even need to explain? We just can't stop making it worse. EVERY SINGLE DAY, YOU KNOW WHAT'S IN THE "COMMUNITY'S MOST LOVED / REMIXED" AND FEATURED?? HUMAN-MADE, HUMAN-DRAWN, HUMAN-CODED THINGS. MANY BY KIDS, TWEENS, TEENS, SOME YOUNG ADULTS. H U M A N S. Are we HUMANPHOBIC now??? I used to be more chill about it all. I was naive, thinking "well I mean, it's not like it's a true threat, it's just making brainrot memes, crappy "art" nobody wants, getting some kids' homework done, and some dumb ahh slobs can sit and roleplay with an AI cat girl waifu in a maid dress on their phones and iPads". We're young. We can't do much, can we? Well to that, I say...let's change that. Remix the projects talking about the problematic uprising of AI. We CANNOT keep quiet about this. Spread this anywhere you can. All the studios, off site. The future is doomed if we don't. To AI and the corporations who use it and claim it to be such a glorious thing, I quote Derek. S^CK MY FAT ONE! "But I'm not an artist. You're just mad you're getting replaced lol." If you want to lack perspective and be a cheeky little toerag about it, okay. This isn't just bad for artists. It's ESPECIALLY bad for artists, don't get me wrong. But it affects you badly too. What if we can't talk to anyone who isn't our age anymore? What if we can't post art for fear we'll be feeding it to AI? The cave people of the past, our ancestors, did not paint on rock walls for us to turn to this. Just saying... </3 I don't want my art to be fed to that slop. Legally fed to that.  I think it's actually sinking in now. This update means that my art can legally be fed to AI. And so can yours. How is this...I feel betrayed, Scratch. I feel really betrayed right now. Most of us are kids. And now you're going to take our talent and hand it over to bots like all those awful corporates and companies want to do. On the one site I thought would be safe. A site specifically for creativity. I really don't want to leave. But if I don't see this fixed, I think I'll be saying farewell with a lot of other artists. We deserve better, Scratch.
