The Issue

The Yu-Gi-Oh! community lost a titan this week. Our dear friend, yugituber, and duelist Alex Cimo passed away this week. He was a pillar of the community whether you knew him from his YouTube channel, seeing him at YCS's, or dueling him in person. He took his passion for Yu-Gi-Oh and turned it into a lifelong career, and for many of us, his content brought comfort and joy especially in knowing that there was someone out there who enjoyed our hobby just as much as we do. He brought Yu-Gi-Oh content to his more than 300k subscribers and gained millions of views, even from viewers who wouldn't normally watch be interested in Yu-Gi-Oh.

The reason for this petition is to make a plea to Konami to hold a moment of silence for Alex at the 2026 Yu-Gi-Oh North America World Championship Qualifiers. Alex impacted thousands of duelists all across the country and the world with his content and love for Yu-Gi-Oh, and it would only be fair to send him off with a moment of silence and gratitude to show him how much he meant to us.

While Alex is no longer here with us physically, he will forever be in our hearts and a part of our community for years to come. We hope you're dueling with Kazuki Takahashi now Alex, we love you and will miss you. Thank you for everything, and we can't wait to duel you when we get there.
