A Petition to Bring Back Karen Starr! Our Power Girl!

A Petition to Bring Back Karen Starr! Our Power Girl!
The Issue

Hello all! This is a petition to bring back Power Girl’s iconic costume, her iconic name, & everything she was that made her respectable in DC comics. The purpose is to call out the higher ups at DC Comics (looking at you Jim Lee) to stop changing Power Girl’s appearance, her characterization, and stop fixing what isn’t broken.
DC recently chose to change up Power Girl’s outfit that included adding a jacket with the “S” symbol that represents the House of El (pic #2). First off, this new look is generic and bland at best and doesn’t make her look unique anymore. Secondly, this “jacket trend” is overrated, played out, and looks very similar to Supergirl’s current costume (LAZY design). Finally, Kara Zor-El (a younger version), a.k.a. Supergirl exists and she wears the family crest since her established lore is that she is from the same universe as Kal-El on Earth-1.
It doesn’t make sense for Karen Starr (Power Girl) to wear the family crest as well. (See her established lore below)
9/30/2024 update: After 13 issues of Power Girl’s current series, it is clear that DC Comics doesn’t utilize her or respect her enough to carry her own series. Omen, her so-called “best friend” after a few months has self-inserted herself (no thanks to Leah Williams), sidelined Power Girl in her own series by saving her multiple times, or giving her advice about being “human”, or something utterly ridiculous like teaching her how to hug people… like Power Girl has never been around people before or who previously owned a powerful tech company in New York.
Which she sold by the way so she could move to Metropolis & become a reporter with another eye-rolling identity crisis (like we don’t already have enough “Super-fam” heroes and even Hawkgirl living in Metropolis). Where is the creativity here?!?
Leah Williams along with DC comics has assassinated the character we all know and love with less-than-mediocre writing and storytelling. Her characterization is no where close to the Power Girl we once knew. Her name isn’t even Karen Starr anymore as DC comics allowed Williams to rename her as “Paige Stetler”…
Williams used Jon Kent to give her this new name… If Williams knew what Power Girl is all about, she would know that Power Girl would never allow a man to rename her.
The purpose of this petition has evolved from bringing her iconic costume back to now bringing back KAREN STARR and removing Leah Williams and her editorial team from this awful series. Replace them with a writer and editorial team that knows and cares about Power Girl!
Remember when Power Girl used to be badass? Remember when she moved on from her insecurities and embraced the JSA & her new world after Infinite Crisis and her 2009 solo series?
Apparently, Jim Lee and DC comics do not and they obviously do not care and that needs to change.

The classic, iconic outfit of Power Girl is powerful and unique despite how “controversial” it looks.
Short version of her backstory:
According to lore, when she first arrived on Earth-2 after the destruction of Krypton (Pre-Crisis), she was adopted by an elder Lois & Clark whom she saw as her parents (read Infinite Crisis #2). As she came of age, she chose the name, “Power Girl” because she did not want to be a carbon-copy of her cousin, Superman. Plus, the outfit she debuted in was pic #1! Then a new design adopted a different look without the window - a 1980’s design - see link: https://i0.wp.com/getcomics.info/share/uploads/2019/04/Power-Girl-1-4-1988-1.jpg?fit=400%2C615&ssl=1 )
From what is shown, you never see her wearing the House of El crest.
Heck, I would be okay if they switched the jacket for her red cape! Though personally, her classic, iconic outfit is what I would like to see again.
If you agree, please sign this petition and let’s make DC comics aware that we are here and want to make our voices known of the disappointment of our beloved character’s new look, her new name, and awful characterization by Leah Williams.
LET’S BRING BACK THE POWER GIRL WE KNOW AND LOVE! BRING BACK KAREN STARR!!
