Why is Florida not is step as other states regarding Native American Sales Tax Exemption and Use Tax Exemption. Most of these lands are Federal homestead quarters owned by Native Americans which are Restricted Lands. Public Law 280 states clearly the States lack of authority to Tax Native Americans. So why are they accepting Sales Tax from other states where Automobile purchases takes place? We need answers and the State Florida Revenue Department has not given a satisfactory answer.
