The Choctaw Nation Indians were denied federal recognition by the Bureau of  Indians Affairs, illegal, unlawful, and wrongful petition process. We are not a new tribe for which that process is held. This would help set the record strait and open the Bureau of Indian Affairs petition process by FOIA, to information and records withheld from the recognition determination. Whereas, Choctaw Indians have experenced lack of funding from the Choctaw General Funds, based on Public Law to assist with record maintainence and economic development. The Choctaw Indians must receive the same Federal Acknowledgement and Recognition and their heritable benefits as other tribes receive.
