A petition in support of Principal Noland’s return to Huddleston Elementary School

The Issue

We, the undersigned members of the Huddleston Elementary community, respectfully submit this petition in support of Mr. Noland and his return to the school he has helped make exceptional.

As Huddleston families, we feel we would be negatively impacted by his absence. His return would bring us greater peace of mind and a stronger sense of security, knowing he is present rather than missing from the school community.

Mr. Noland has been an extremely dedicated, compassionate, and effective leader who has made a meaningful impact on our students, staff, and families. His commitment to education, student success, and community building has shaped a positive and supportive school environment and has elevated our school in measurable and lasting ways. Under Mr. Noland's leadership, the school's CCRPI score increased significantly from 86.5 to 96.1, placing us in the green for all sub-scores and ranking Huddleston as the second-highest elementary school in the district.

Additional Achievements and Contributions to consider:

- GMAS scores improved significantly under Mr. Noland leadership. His arrival in 2022 was a score of 4.2. Noland implemented strategic changes to the instructional practice which resulted in growth from a PC score of 8.8 in 2024 to 19 in 2025

- He pioneered HES becoming a Leader In Me school. Created school clubs’ initiative and summer clubs.

- Many more examples can be provided of his meaningful impact on our students, staff, and families.

We recognize that he recently made a serious personal mistake resulting in a DUI arrest. While we do not excuse this action, we believe it does not define his character or overshadow the years of integrity, leadership, and care he has consistently demonstrated. Like many, he can learn, grow, and takeresponsibility. We believe in accountability, but we also believe in second chances, especially for individuals who have proven themselves to be positive role models and invaluable contributors to our school and community. Allowing Mr. Noland, the opportunity to return to his position would reflect our shared values of compassion, growth, and redemption.

We respectfully ask the Fayette County Board of Education to consider his full record, his contributions, and the overwhelming support of this community when making a decision about his future.

Sincerely,

686
