Petition to the United States Senate and House of Representatives to Investigate and Remove the 47th President from Office

Subject: Petition for a Comprehensive Investigation and Removal of President Donald J. Trump, 47th President of the United States; Due to Violations of the Presidential Oath and Constitutional Responsibilities

Date: January 22, 2025

To: The Honorable Members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives

We, the undersigned, respectfully submit this petition to urge Congress to undertake a thorough and impartial investigation into actions and behaviors by President Donald J. Trump, 47th President of the United States that we believe constitute violations of the presidential oath of office and render the President unfit to continue serving in this capacity. This petition outlines key facts, evidence, and constitutional principles that warrant immediate congressional attention and action to protect the Constitution and the nation.

The Presidential Oath of Office
Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution prescribes the presidential oath of office:

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

This oath obligates the President to uphold constitutional principles, faithfully execute federal laws, and act in the best interest of the United States.

Grounds for Investigation and Removal

1. Failure to Faithfully Execute the Office
   - Ignoring public health guidelines and federal laws during a national health crisis, resulting in preventable deaths and widespread harm to public safety.
   - Publicly downplaying the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, contradicting scientific and medical evidence, and failing to coordinate a timely federal response, which led to significant loss of life and economic damage.

2. Violation of Constitutional Principles
   - Attempts to overturn the results of a legitimate election by pressuring state officials to "find" votes or alter certified election results.
   - Recorded phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State on January 2, 2021, where the President pressured officials to “find” enough votes to overturn the election outcome in the state, directly undermining democratic processes.
   - Issuance of an executive order to ban birthright citizenship, a policy that contradicts the Fourteenth Amendment, which guarantees citizenship to all individuals born in the United States.
   - The executive order directly disregards established constitutional protections, undermining the separation of powers and the judiciary's authority to interpret constitutional law.

3. Abuse of Power and Corruption
   - Leveraging the presidency for personal financial gain by promoting businesses owned by the President or their family members.
   - Directing federal government agencies and international delegations to use properties owned by the President, such as hotels and resorts, leading to allegations of emoluments clause violations.
   - Issuance of an executive order banning Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, effectively encouraging discriminatory practices by restricting efforts to promote equality and fairness in federal programs and institutions.
   - This executive order undermines constitutional principles of equal protection under the law, as guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment.

   - The executive order of pardoning Criminal Defendants involved in the Capital Riots that occurred on January 6th 2021, many whom are involved in militia gangs and created violence, bloodshed and death. This undermines the DOJ in operating free from political influence and fundamentally against the constitution as written.

4. Dereliction of Duty
   - Failing to act during a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, despite clear threats to lawmakers, law enforcement, and the democratic process.
   - Delayed response to the Capitol attack, including hours-long inaction to deploy National Guard forces or condemn the violence, placing Congress and the Vice President in direct danger.

5. Pattern of Unconstitutional Behavior
   - Persistent obstruction of justice and refusal to comply with congressional subpoenas during investigations into misconduct.
   - Directing administration officials to ignore subpoenas issued by Congress during impeachment proceedings, undermining legislative oversight and the rule of law.
   - Issuance of an executive order withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO), a move that jeopardized global health cooperation and violated congressional appropriations processes.
   - This action disregarded statutory requirements and international agreements, undermining the United States' role in global health initiatives.

A Patriotic Request for Immediate Congressional Action

We respectfully request the following actions:

1. Initiation of a Comprehensive Investigation:
   - Congress should convene a bipartisan committee to investigate all allegations and gather evidence of constitutional violations and misconduct.
   - Subpoena relevant documents, witnesses, and communications to ensure a transparent and thorough inquiry.

2. Public Disclosure of Findings:
   - Ensure that the investigation’s findings are made public to maintain transparency and accountability.

3. Impeachment Proceedings (required):
   - Clear evidence supports allegations of high crimes and misdemeanors, initiate impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives.
   - Conduct a trial in the Senate to determine removal from office based on the evidence presented.

The preservation of our constitutional republic depends on the accountability of those entrusted with public office. No individual, including the President, is above the law. For the sake of our nation’s stability, security, and democratic principles, we urge Congress to act decisively in addressing these serious concerns.
