We're still at it, quietly organizing and advocating for an alternative site/renovation at River City Hall for the DFPD to the 9R Admin. Building. Nothing has been submitted yet to planning and an approval, if it came, is still off in the future.
Though we have submitted the 1K+ signatures to our own City Council asking for a real public forum, that this DFPD meeting is not, we have yet to hear from them on any action. It's disappointing, though we are not giving up.
The future of our downtown and Durango is too important. We could still use some volunteer help, and donations eventually, to help with costs associated with developing a website, social media management and some other plans. We're in it for the long haul. Oh, and please submit questions for Thursday's forum by midnight tonight. Please also copy contact@citizensvoicedurango.org. The DFPD is choosing which questions they plan to answer and we'd like to know the breadth of the questions posed with no confidence they will answer all of them or post Q&A for all. Sigh.
