To commission a Monument of Love & Solidarity for the Chibok Girls

To commission a Monument of Love & Solidarity for the Chibok Girls

THE WALL OF MISSING GIRLS
In the heart of Lagos Island, at the popular Falomo Roundabout in Ikoyi lies the Wall of Missing Girls (picture above), a make-shift tribute to the Chibok Girls made of cardboard and wood; and a reminder to all who pass by of the tragic event that happened on the night of April 14, 2014 when over 200 girls were abducted by terrorists. Though some of the girls escaped and returned, 219 are still missing.
ACTION
Please sign our petition to the Nigerian Government and the Office of the Presidency:
1. to commission a monument, in the town of Chibok at the Secondary School where the girls were abducted; and
2. to commission a monument at Unity Fountain Park in Abuja, a place that has become a symbol of hope and prayer for the Chibok Girls.
Objective of Petition: We want the Nigerian government to show its solidarity for the Chibok Girls. It hasn't done so in the last year. The monument will be:
- a symbol of love, hope and solidarity
- a reminder that this tragedy should never be allowed to happen again.
