Subject: Humble Petition for the Reinstatement of His Grace Bishop Archilids to the Diocese of Toronto and Central Canada

 

Your Holiness,

 

We, your loving children in Christ, write to you today with heavy hearts and deep sorrow upon learning of the departure of His Grace His Grace Bishop Archilids from our diocese. For many of us, this news has come as a shock and a source of great sadness.

 

His Grace Bishop Archilids brought with him a spirit of love, humility, discipline, and transparency. He connected with the people, encouraged service, supported the youth, and followed up personally with many of us—not only as a spiritual leader, but as a true shepherd. His care for each soul was evident in the way he called us by name, checked in on our families, and sincerely asked how he could support our growth in Christ.

 

Sadly, we also recognize that his desire for transparency and accountability may have caused tension with certain individuals who resisted change. But we firmly believe that these differences should not overshadow the great blessings his presence brought to the congregation.

 

We respectfully and humbly ask Your Holiness to prayerfully reconsider the decision regarding His Grace Bishop Archilids and allow him to return to continue his service in our region. We do not seek division, but healing. We do not desire conflict, but clarity and trust. We long for the guidance of a bishop who truly walked with us.

 

Your Holiness, we know you carry many responsibilities, and we deeply honor your wisdom and leadership. Please consider the cries of your children in Central Canada who long to see their spiritual father return.

praying for your health, guidance, and wisdom always.

قداسة البابا الحبيب،

 

نحن أبناؤكم في المسيح، نكتب إلى قداستكم اليوم وقلوبنا مثقلة بالحزن العميق، بعد سماعنا خبر رحيل نيافة الأنبا أرشليدس عن خدمتنا في إيبارشية تورونتو وكندا الوسطى. لقد كان هذا الخبر صادمًا ومؤلمًا للعديد منّا.

 

نيافته حمل معنا روح المحبة والتواضع والانضباط والشفافية. كان قريبًا من الناس، يشجع الخدمة، يحتضن الشباب، ويتابع شخصيًا أحوال الكثيرين منّا. لم يكن مجرد راعٍ، بل كان أبًا حقيقيًا، يسأل عنّا بأسمائنا، يهتم بعائلاتنا، ويبحث دائمًا عن كيفية مساعدتنا روحيًا.

 

ونحن نُدرك أن محاولاته لإرساء الشفافية والمحاسبة قد سبّبت توترًا مع بعض الأفراد الذين لم يرحبوا بالتغيير، لكننا نؤمن أن هذه الخلافات لا يجب أن تُلغي البركة الكبيرة التي جاءت من خدمته بيننا.

 

لذا، نرفع هذا الطلب المتواضع والمحب لقداستكم أن تُعيدوا النظر في هذا القرار، وأن تمنحوا نيافة الأنبا أرشليدس فرصة لاستكمال خدمته بين شعبه الذي أحبه، وافتقده بصدق. نحن لا نطلب انقسامًا، بل شفاءً. لا نرغب في صراع، بل في ثقة وتفاهم. نحن نشتاق لوجود أبٍ روحي سار معنا بكل محبة وأمانة.

 

نُدرك تمامًا كم أن مسؤولياتكم جسيمة، ونُقدّر حكمتكم وقيادتكم للكنيسة، ونتوسّل إلى قداستكم أن تستمعوا إلى صوت أولادكم في كندا، الذين يطلبون عودة راعيهم بكل محبة.

 

نظل أبناءكم الأوفياء،

مصلّين دائمًا من أجل صحتكم، وإرشادكم، وحكمتكم التي تضيء طريق الكنيسة.
