Il problema
Il Direttore del Museo Egizio di Torino, dott. Christian Greco, è stato vessato ingiustamente da un politico della regione Piemonte. Non si comprende la minima ragione di tale attacco considerato il profilo del Direttore, che si caratterizza non soltanto per le sue altissime competenze nella Egittologia, competenze riconosciute a livello internazionale, ma anche per le sue doti umane e manageriali.
La passione per questa materia, il livello straordinario delle iniziative, l'approccio sempre inclusivo hanno consentito al Direttore - in questi suoi intensi nove anni di attività - di valorizzare il meraviglioso patrimonio archeologico del Museo, diventato oggi un vero e proprio punto di riferimento per tutta la comunità non solo scientifica.
Difendiamo il Museo come istituzione indipendente, luogo di cultura e incontro di tutti noi, luogo in continuo cambiamento e per questo pronto ad accoglierci più e più volte, da valutare con criteri oggettivi e di merito, e non già con orientamenti politici e personalismi fantasiosi.

The Director of the Egyptian Museum in Turin, Christian Greco, has been unjustly harassed by a politician of the Piedmont regional government.
It is absolutely impossible to understand the reason for such an aggression considering the high profile of the Director, who is distinguished not only for his outstanding expertise in Egyptology, an internationally recognised skill, but also for his human and management qualities.
The passionate interest in this subject, the impressive level of his initiatives, and the ever-inclusive approach have allowed the Director - in his intense nine years of activity - to enhance the Museum's extraordinary archaeological heritage, which has become a true point of reference for the entire community, not only the scientific one.
We shall protect the museum as an independent institution, a place of culture and meeting for all of us, a place that is constantly changing and therefore ready to welcome us again and again, that is to be assessed on the basis of objective criteria and merit, and not on the basis of political bias and personalistic whims.
