In an evil, senseless act of violence, a male brindle pit bull was tied to a pole in Abner Clay Park off the 200 Block of W Clay Street covered in accelerant and intentionally set on fire. RACC named the dog Tommie. After being treated for burns to over 40% of his body at Virginia Veterinary Centers, Tommie succumbed to his injuries. It’s time to make animal cruelty a felony.
