The United Nations has had a number of meetings, more selfies and the Secretary General was caught eating chocolate cake instead of making a speech to condemn the atrocities committed by India in Kashmir. These are some important documents you may wish to download.
1. The Kashmir matter finally featured in the Human Rights Council
The three documents are identified as:
*A/HRC/37/NGO/113 -“Violence against women” (Occupied #Kashmir)
*A/HRC/37/NGO/114 - “Status of Indian army” (Occupied Kashmir)
*A/HRC/37/NGO/150 – “Azad Kashmir Judiciary – Rights of ppl n specific groups and individuals (Minority issues)”
2. This week the UN tweeted as follows:-
" #Kashmir , on both sides of the Line of Control, regrettably unconditional access continues to be refused to my Office. I will report on this issue at greater length in June." - #Zeid (link: http://ow.ly/7SeO30iNYwH) ow.ly/7SeO30iNYwH #HRC37 #StandUp4HumanRights @UN_HRC

3. Please note Pakistan has never refused the UNHRC access and despite repeated corrections, the UN continues to circulate the same error. India though continues to refuse access.
4. The Special Rapporteurs correspondence continues to be unanswered by India. You can download the documents below
A. Letter 1 https://t.co/2GMShEh4Kb?amp=1
B. Letter 2. https://t.co/k0dREpcPr2?amp=1
3. It still remains vital for every civilian or interested party to take part in reporting the evidence from ground zero. I cannot emphasize this enough. You cannot expect a legitimate investigation to take place when few sends the evidence in. Each group has their vested interests therefore each civilian suffering or affected by atrocities committed by India must raise the issue and send evidence to the UNHRC. This is the link with all the information.

4. The Kashmir delegation met with the Special Rapporteur

Again it is unknown whether the interests of the Kashmiri civilians ( independent of Pakistan) was
outlined here. We still haven't heard about prisoner rights in Kashmir.
There is still an absence of collaboration from Kashmiri civilians and limited motivation in reporting human rights violations. The public in Kashmir must remember that without documented complaints or evidence there will be no proper investigation or referral to the International Criminal Courts. If you want justice, one must approach this matter properly. Raise your voice to the UN. The more complaints there are, the more likely justice will be done.
