A compass outside of all MTA stations

The Issue

Everyone gets discombobulated when leaving the trains in the city, this is not news. You walk out of the stations to street level, and BAM! No idea which way to go. You pull out your phone, start looking at street corners/signs, checking numbers on buildings...only to figure it out 5 minutes later when your Google Maps finally locates you and pinpoints your location.

The MTA should consider placing a compass outside each train station to better to orient yourself and not waste time trying to pirate around and find your location.

This is a simple compass placed into the sidewalk above the steps of each station exit. Whether it is a ceramic mosaic, casted metal, or just painted on the sidewalk like the lines on the streets.

This will help save precious time, currently wasted while trying to find your way, not to mention standing behind some tourist who is taking up the whole sidewalk with their 3.5 kids and blocking your way, while understandably also trying to ask you questions.
