The cancelation of three major electronic music concerts in the fall semester of 2013 has left many students angry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst administration. But if you look deeper for underlying cause of such strong negative emotions, you will find that the source is sadness. 

At these events we have learned to dance, made life long friends, and been able to momentarily let go of all of our burdens. At these events we have made memories that we hope to never forget.

Prior to the cancelation of Pretty Lights (10/30) and Above and Beyond (10/4) we all hoped that the odds would be in our favor and that the administration would not use their power to further enforce safety by ordering the cessation of the shows.

Our hopes were let down again without the chance for our thoughts, ideas, and probable solutions to be heard. Please read the petition letter before signing.
