The vote that was scheduled to take place at the University of Michigan, where students were to vote on competing resolutions regarding the conflict between Israel and Hamas, has been canceled. The university's Vice President and General Counsel, Timothy Lynch, sent an email to the student body on Thursday morning, stating that the voting on the resolutions was canceled due to the inappropriate use of the university's email system. Although the referendum vote was canceled, we must remain vigilant and show support for the Jewish community at the University of Michigan while standing against hatred and bigotry.
