In view of the general reaction seen on social media networks and on blogs it has become apparent that the envisaged Cardiff concert is beset by doubts, a) because of its timing, and b) for material reasons.

On October 8 this year, the criminal trial where Dr. Conrad Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter will have started. This concert is bound to take the focus off the trial which will last about 4 to 6 weeks, according to current estimates.

As for material reasons, suffice it to say at this point that Global Events Live was only established March 29, 2011 and may not have the standing and experience required to plan and organize an event according to the standards expected of an event linked to Michael Jackson's name.

Also, the Estate of Michael Jackson has not been approached during the planning phases.

We also wish to address the fact that the country of Wales and the city of Cardiff got linked to this undertaking. We have seen numerous articles where representatives from Wales expressed their hopes related to this concert. Their global exposure is considerable.

Although Cardiff is on the table right now, the plans for Gary (with a museum, a hotel and an entertainment complex, quite similar to the Happyland project planned for Vietnam) are beset with doubts as well and do not seem to lead anywhere at this point of time. This project would be vital for Gary, Michael's hometown, though.

We therefore appeal to Mrs. Jackson and the Estate of Michael Jackson to jointly plan and organize a professionally planned, truly magnificent legacy concert for Michael Jackson for 2012, one to be held in Gary, Indiana, and one to be held in Cardiff, Wales. A sizeable part of the proceeds from actual ticket sales should go to carefully selected charitable organizations. Also, we suggest to invite not just top acts, but also artists that are not "mainstream".

Further concerts of this kind in other venues could be considered. Depending on the region local artists could be invited. This could become a respected series of concerts that truly carry on Michael's legacy, as an artist and as a humanitarian who cared about the world.

In view of the many people suffering while we are writing the text for this petition - from Norway to Somalia, people are losing their lives, and their children, and these are just two examples for the suffering endured by human beings in this world, representing many, many more instances - it is more important than ever to carry on Michael's humanitarian efforts. These form a tremendously important part of his legacy.

We believe in our hearts that making a common effort to carry on Michael's message and legacy will open up a better way for the future, for all of us.

He will live forever.
