Regular patrols in designated areas are not being conducted. Community outreach programs, essential for public education and awareness, are virtually nonexistent. The officer’s absence at required community events leaves a noticeable and disheartening void. Complaints go inadequately investigated, and necessary enforcement actions—clearly outlined in municipal bylaws—are routinely ignored.

This ongoing neglect is more than just a professional failing; it’s a moral one. The safety and well-being of animals in our community depend on an engaged, responsive, and compassionate officer. This is not merely about whether to renew a contract—it’s about the lives of animals who cannot speak for themselves.
