Animal welfare is a serious issue of great importance that needs to be addressed right away by people, communities, and the authorities.  There are many cases of animal neglect abandonment, mistreatment, and lack of care across the country. Pets are sometimes left alone by their owners are no longer want to take of them, while stray animals do not have access to food, water,  shelter, and without any proper care and assistance. This is why animal welfare is such an important matter that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

These animals are left to fend for themselves and can often be injured, starved, and in bad conditions.  Sometimes people abuse animals and when authorities get involved, the issue isn't properly addressed and the pet is still left in danger. If authorities and the pet owners don't take action on animal cruelty, this can lead to many more cases of pet neglect.

Left alone, pets that are mistreated and not taken care of will continue to suffer. This can lead to many stray animals on the streets which causes more issues for animal shelters and authorities. A large number of stray animals can cause problems for drivers and pedestrians and can also be a source of disease. If pets are abused or neglected, animal shelters and authorities will have to deal with more animals that need medical treatment and better living conditions.

When animal cruelty occurs, it can also numb people and make them accustomed to the idea that animal abuse is normal, and cause animal cruelty to become a larger problem. People shouldn't be blinded  to something as terrible as animal abuse. Authorities and pet owners need to ensure that pets are treated well and are living in good conditions.

Animal welfare shouldn't be an issue that is put off for too long. Communities and pet owners should educate people about the issue and advocate for pet adoptions and rescues. People should ensure that animal cruelty is brought up and addressed so that animals are treated right and don't have to suffer. Animal welfare shouldn't be ignored because when it is, pets and animals suffer, as well as communities and authorities having to deal with the consequences of animal neglect and abuse. Animal cruelty needs to be prevented and treated before it becomes a bigger problem.
