Thank you for signing the petition to have a pedestrian overpass installed at the Route 15 / Dominion Valley intersection near Battlefield High School. We are past 1800 signatures and $800 donated.

Many people have reported to me that they have been advocating for a pedestrian bridge at this intersection for awhile now but have not gotten anywhere. That's why it is important we join together. 

In addition to a pedestrian bridge near Battlefield High School it has been brought to my attention that Woodbridge High School also has a lot of walkers that must cross a busy street. With school busses running behind due to lack of bus drivers, more high school students are choosing to walk to school. Parking lots may be overflowing into shopping centers and residential streets as students choose to drive when they can and walk the rest of the way after they park.

These situations mean that young human bodies are walking across intersections. Pedestrian bridges would help keep PWCS students safe and could also be used by the community.

FYI there is a second petition going around for the same cause created by Natalie Askin. If anyone knows her, please ask her to join the Our Schools PWCS Facebook group and let's team up to keep PWCS students safe.
