Dear Ms Bradley - The Archbishop of Canterbury is away from Lambeth Palace for his summer break and so I have been asked to write thanking you for your

Hunting foxes with hounds is illegal in this country, as you know. Drag and trail hunting are not. If you believe a person has been hunting foxes with dogs, it is a matter for the police and the law.
I understand that HIT has been invited to present its petition to the Bishop of Hereford. A copy of your petition was not however attached to your message to the Archbishop.
Yours sincerely

My reply has been,
Dear Correspondence secretary,
The petition has already been handed to the Archdeacon of hereford who replied that fox hunting is just a different view and both views are allowed within his parish. The Archdeacon has also stated that fox hunting is necessary to protect livestock and in some cases human babies.
Your own reply- speaking as the secretary is slightly different- you finally acknowledge that fox killing is now against the law and you state

In what way is causing a serious concern for animal welfare shrinking this footprint and your vicars being followed by hunt saboteurs in any way contributing towards the environment? Taking time and publicly funded money to monitor your church's attitude towards the wild life directly conflicts with your footprints project. Is the Rev neil Patterson happy to continue to be filmed and followed by the three counties hunt saboteur group, the group are extremely experienced in their field and have spent many years saboteuring hunts. Their role has not changed since the ban has come into place that is because this group has seen many Neil pattersons over the years and do not fall for his dog collar and know that people like himself do not place the welfare of the fox in any high regard at all.
Furthermore, Neil patterson has been declining to speak to the press, who are equally baffled and concerned as to why a Church of England vicar is riding out with a pack of thirty hounds and not expecting to kill anything. The Hunt watch investigation team have filmed the south hereford hunt training their hounds on live fox cubs, in what way does this suggest to you that this is a drag hunt?
There has been no attempt by neighbouring hunting packs to retrain their hounds onto a non animal based scent and it is widely known that hunts are hunting against the law until they caught. this has been proved time and time again. So the Neil patterson "drag hunting vicar" is a stretch of the imagination is it not.
