I propose we enact international treaty that would make it illegal for any new mining or drilling operations to take place at 60⁰ North and above. The treaty would be called, "60⁰ North & Above Sub/Arctic International Environmental Treaty." This is the international treaty:

-International Treaty: From this day forth, any future mining operations and/or drilling operations of any materials and/or resources 60⁰ North & Above are hereby prohibited under international law and this international treaty. These prohibited mining and/or drilling operations include the drilling and/or mining of materials and/or resources such as gold, gas, oil, copper, and other materials and/or resources will now be prohibited from being mined and/or drilled by future mining and/or drilling operations. Furthermore, all current mining and/or drilling operations 60⁰ North & Above will have 15 years from the date this treaty is enacted into international law to vacate the land and relocate to somewhere below the 60⁰ North latitude line, clean up any equipment, and to restore the land to its orginal state before mining and/or drilling operations started. This treaty also prohibits testing any land for materials and/or resources to drill there and/or mine there in the future. These prohibitions are effective immediately as soon as this treaty is enacted into international law. Once a country signs this international treaty, they are legally bound forever from removing themselves from this international treaty under international law. Under this international treaty, all data centers are prohibited at 60⁰ North & Above, from the date this treaty is signed and encated into international law.

The reason why I propose this international treaty is because that the environment of our Earth is changing rapidly. Species like the caribou, moose, polar bears, Arctic foxes, and others are loosing their habitats do to things like drilling for oil, climate change, perma frost melting winch releases methane into the air, and other ways. We need to protect the Arctic and SubArctic regions of the earth to preserve nature.
