Six dogs from Russia died a horrible death in Serbia during transportation. For two whole weeks, Njegos Bugarin blatantly lied to the owners that the animals had escaped, while he threw away their bodies like garbage! All this time, the corpses rotted under the scorching sun - the heavily destroyed bodies that were left of them had to be identified by the owners. The body of chihuahua Tyson was never found, bulldog Buch was found without its head. Please help achieve a fair punishment for Njegos Bugarin who continues to transport animals!

On June 1st, the Serbian carrier Njegos Bugarin, owner of the Auto Extra company which delivers goods and animals from Russia and CIS countries, departed from Moscow on a fatal delivery. This time he was transporting eight dogs, but only two reached the owners – in shock, with heat stroke and dehydration. The remaining six animals disappeared without a trace in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.

On June 4th, Njegos’ wife called the owners and said that the dogs had run away from their house, allegedly following the "shelter mutts". As for Njegos, he went further to Montenegro to deliver the parcels, as if nothing had happened.

On the same day, dozens of volunteers went out for the search: they put up leaflets, interviewed passers-by, combed every kilometer, including landfills and trash cans, in the suffocating heat. While interviewing the people, volunteers found a witness who saw how in the morning, when the animals "ran away", Njegos and three more people loaded the corpses of dogs into the trunk. The witness managed to capture the last moment - how the corpse of St. Bernard Masha was loaded into the car. This video became an important evidence - on June 5, the police opened a criminal case against Njegos Bugarin under article "Murder and animal cruelty."

Despite this, Njegos continued to lie to the owners that the dogs had run away, offered compensation or to buy new puppies for them. For two weeks he tortured six families with his dirty lies. Imagine the hell these people lived in!

The public outcry and the collected evidence led to the fact that on June 18 Njegos Bugarin came to the police and told what had happened. He said he gave the dogs some kind of a drug, but because of the heat the animals did not wake up. Possibly Njegos lied about the drug hoping for leniency because locking dogs in a car in a heat of 30°C can be regarded as cruel treatment, and not as death by negligence. Njegos also showed the police the place where he threw the animals away - that mess of wool, meat and bones was transferred to the zoohygiene service, and after the remains of the bodies were identified by the owners.

It is very important to obtain justice and fair punishment for Njegos Bugarin because he continues to run his illegal business - his clients have repeatedly complained about threats, opened packages, injured animals (for example, one puppy had bloody diarrhea), increasing prices while en route. In Njegos’ company chat and group all bad reviews were instantly deleted - hence the feeling that he was a decent and conscientious carrier. This is not the first problem Bugarin had with the law. We demand to check the Auto Extra company for legality and availability of documents permitting the transport of animals.

We demand that Njegos Bugarin is found guilty of the death of six dogs! He did not fulfill his obligations as a carrier and should suffer a fair punishment, and not get off with a fine. This man brought terrible grief to at least six families who were not even able to properly say goodbye to their beloved pets.

No animal on earth should die such a terrible death!
