Last night, at Midnight fireworks tore through our neighborhood, and Blue, was frantic with terror. I was in bed, but, an instinct kicked in. I found him trying to force his body underneath inch-wide bars, desperate to escape. I held Blue with both arms through the bars to soothe his trembling. He let me cradle him through the fence for hours, shaking uncontrollably in fear.
I had to leave him at 4:00 AM, crammed in a corner, as vagrants made it unsafe to stay. My heart broke leaving him there. I really considered sleeping by his side against the fence.
The incidence of visible LOUD Fireworks in our neighborhood area is happening quite frequently. Blue’s suffering is unbearable, and his case is still pending with Animal Services officers. I’ve been reaching out to community organizations and officials but we need your voice to make this happen. Every signature, every share, brings us closer to freeing Blue from this neglect.
