I’m reaching out to you to congratulate you on the good work we’ve done together .. this petition … your petition … was THE first public wake-up call for action for a New Orleans Safe … this work we’ve done started a movement, action and most importantly AWARENESS and PUBLIC discussions about the lowest number of NOPD officers in 50Years … terrible violent crime stats and more …

we did it together and with other citizen leaders the call for action was loud… 100 State Troopers are here! Federal prosecutors are working with NOPD on violent crime prosecutions, the DA is changing course on bail and the veil of unacceptable operating policy was pulled back … and the juvenile justice center is now at the forefront … and YOUR signature turned into a voice for all neighborhoods and all citizens … but our work is not finished … we remain committed to requesting the mayor call for National Guard professionals to deploy to our nopd districts to offer community policing assistance, work to bridge our neighborhoods with the authenticity and sensitivity that each citizen deserves for a New Orleans Safe …
