Rags is a 1 year old puppy. Lives at home with 4 teens, dad, and mom, and other fur babies. He is mom’s baby.  He is everywhere she is rides in the wheel chair every chance he gets.

A guest arrived at the home came in without knocking with a small child very excited and jumping around. Rags was startled and bit both. The family took them and stayed with them at the ER. No talk of legality what so ever. The next day animal control comes to quarantine the dog. He goes to work with his sister as well as many other places. Shocked this family complies.

End of quarantine animal control comes and takes the pup stating he is dangerous and the family must go to court to find out if the court will have him put to sleep. 

He is only 1 year old very socialized. It is an unfortunate accident and a nightmare for any dog owner as any animal can react when startled. 
The victim did not knock rather came in uninvited therefore must have felt comfortable around the dog and his temperament.

The family would have gladly paid medical bills if this is what it’s about. But to put down a family pet for protecting the home and his humans. This is his first bite. The family is devastated. 
 Please consider signing not to make light of the seriousness of what happened but to allow the dog and the family a chance. There are many things that can be done to prevent this in the future. This family is devastated. Court is on August 19, 2021.  Thank you
