The 4J school district needs to acknowledge that the content of the presentation given by Richard Wistocki was both illegal and harmful to students because it contained slut shaming, victim blaming and scare tactics while also enforcing gender norms and heteronormativity. The 4J school district may do this in an apology email to students and parents highlighting the issues presented above. In addition, the 4J school district needs to allocate an hour at 4J schools for a remedial lesson containing the same general lesson by an educator who is knowledgeable and will be able to address issues of intersectionality that are key to a proper health education.
