“According to former HSSA volunteers; they have witnessed euthanasia practices at HSSA that are exceedingly cold-hearted.  When an outraged volunteer questioned the unjust killing of Hazel the dog, CEO”s decision, the volunteer was promptly dismissed.  HSSA’s former CEO grossly exaggerated or totally fabricated problematic behaviors to rationalize euthanasia.  

An individual came to HSSA wanting to adopt a number of rabbits for a garden party, essentially as decoration.  Asked what happens after the party, his response: “I’ll just get rid of them.” The Adoption Counselor rejected the adoption application. For this rejection, the Adoption Counselor was fired”.

The despicable practices at this shelter have gone unaccounted for way to long, the euthanasia rates and unethical practices are not acceptable.
