10 governors committed to dropping mask mandates and re-opening their states totally this week… The CDC is against this… Because our mask mandates and safety precautions are still necessary until the virus dies down… For the virus to die down we need to have 85% of our population vaccinated… In California this week as of this week 7.6% of the population has had the two doses necessary to be considered vaccinated… That means we are roughly 78% from proper coverage in California… In other states it is similar… Looking at the numbers on vaccineavailability… One could calculate that by June or July we would have enough vaccine to potentially reach that 85%… This all harkens to question as to why are we opening now? For the economy? That we just passed another $2 trillion bill to prop up? As more people get vaccinated, and as the numbers fall… Right now they are plateaued… As the numbers fall… It makes sense to open more slowly, with restrictions… But dropping mask mandates and opening schools and increasing traffic everywhere without masks… It’s just going to cause more deaths… Which is why we are not closing this petition, which is why I’m asking more people to sign it… Because we asked for a safe buffer period.. We would like to see a large percentage of the population vaccinated and the effect that has on the numbers before we start setting everybody free to do what they want… And we see that this is only a couple of months away… But people seem to want to get out of the car while it’s still moving instead of waiting for it to come to a complete stop.  It make no sense.  It’s bad practice.  Its a bad example for our people.
