What good is testing without proper contact tracing, effective quarantines and enforceable safety measures? It isn’t.
So, let’s say you stay at hone for 9 months. You only go to the store and take walks outside de with no-one around. Then- you go get a test! Great, you stand in line at a stadium and wait 3 hours. Get tested. 3 days later they tell you that the test was negative. Two day’s after that you feel the first symptoms of Covid. That you caught while waiting in line for the test. Great!
I drive by groups of people chatting while waiting for their tests. Less than 4 feet apart. Masks under their nose. And the only reason. They are there in the first place is because some one wants to say they’ve tested them. Not because they have symptoms.
if, we are not. Ping to trace people and force them to quarantine: Why the big deal about ramping up testing?
I understand it’s nice to have the capacity to test lots of people. But, if you’re not going to use the information to control the disease- why?
