There are Vaccines.
This is a good thing.
The issue now us to be patient and stay safe. Most car accidents happen 5 minutes from home because people relax.. this we can see happening with the announcement of the vaccines. This, we need to curtail.
We learn the lessons from our failed response. And our successes. We have had success. We’ve stopped people from dying by being safe. By not opening schools. Opening schools us not just about having people in classrooms. It’s not obviously become the message to society that the pandemic is over. If schools open now rates would soar because parents would be set free to: misbehave. Take their masks off. That’s my thought. It would be pandemic bedlam. The pandemic isn’t over. Schools need to remain shut. Learning loss is affecting the same group that’s always hurt by our stingy society. Those needs need to be met by more dornfing for those sectors not by saying that reopening schools will magically erase the gap.
330,000 dead at this writing. About 3,000 a day now because anti-mashers led by 45 have won the battle of apathy and anti-science in the minds of 70 million of us. The holiday surge looms large. The vaccines we get in 4-6 months won’t help us now. And 70 million people aren’t helping us.
We can be happy though that there are 80 million of us who do mask up. Who do take social distancing seriously. If we hadn’t done this ask yourself where would the numbers be now? At 5,000 deaths a day? At 10,000? Let’s jus say that they would have reached 3,000 in April.. that’s an extra 200,000and may 5,000 in June.. that’s 150,000 a month times 6- that’s 950,000 extra deaths. My numbers are just examples but- it’s the obvious that when we relax- people die 6 weeks later. So .. for those of us that have stated the course: we are saving lives.
Our actions have helped stop that from happening.
