Well, here's the thing. 

In past years, basketball simulation video games have included an NBA AllStar Weekend mode that allowed users to partake in events like the 3 point contest, Slam Dunk contest, Rookie/Sophomore Challenge and even All Star Game itself (I've seen it as far back as NBA Live 05). 

In 2012, with the yearly installment of NBA 2K's game, NBA 2K12, they attempted (at least, we thought) to resurrect the game mode but they turned it into some sort of timing accuracy contest (the 3 point contest) while turning the dunk contest into guitar hero. Especially, instead of a fun challenge of button/joystick combinations and tricks, they turned the dunk contest into this boring, agonizing mode before restricting it and the three point contest to only be playable in the season and franchise game modes in future years (NBA 2K13 and so on).  

My goal, simply, is to attempt to show the people at 2K Sports that there is a desire for the game mode and hope that they implement it (the way it used to be in NBA Live and such, and maybe even add a skills challenge) in the next installment, of course, NBA 2K17.  

Let's get NBA 2K17 to have a standalone All Star Weekend mode for users to enjoy the way we used to!
