I strongly recommend a re-release of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip and dedicate it to the memory of Robin Williams.

They should make references, like from Robin Williams films (such as Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, etc.).

Perhaps Dave says something like, "Sorry doesn't help get my job back, now does it?" and then one of the boys or girls will say, "Only in your dreams can you truly get your job back. 'Twas always thus and always thus will be." And when everyone wakes up, one of the boys or girls can say, "Goooood mornin', everyone!". And Alvin could hit Simon in the back of the head with a coconut and when he turns to see who did it, Alvin could act innocent and say, "Oh, I saw it! Some crazy guy ran by and hit you! It was a run-by coconuting!". And when they talk to the captain, Alvin could say, "Oh, captain! My captain!". At least something of the sort.

Most of all, get them to rehire Amy Poehler as the voice of Eleanor in the re-released improved version of the film!
