A special place already exists for families in Brentwood, Bellevue, Farview, Franklin, Nolensville and surrounding areas that wish to play Little League baseball: Grassland baseball & softball parks.

Unfortunately, there continues to be an off the field battle because the boundaries of Nolensville Little League include the entire Grassland area is controlled by Nolensville Little League, and for softball Spring Hill Little League.  Our kids, and those in the surrounding area, are forced to sit in the car for up to 90+ minutes each way just to get competitive Little League play and coaching.  Our community has tried for years to get Williamson County and Little League's attention to this unfair deal.

Local media has been on fire covering how Nolensville Little League knowingly is actively blocking the Grassland community from forming its own Little League Baseball program.  

Here in Grassland, we have many well maintained fields. We have the players, and volunteers (700+!). Yet our children are shut out of a real competitive path in their own hometown community to play Little League  and told to drive across the county if they want quality coaching and the chance to advance: all because of Nolensville Little League & Spring Hill Little League both refuse to share or negotiate their boundaries.  The push to form our own All-star team's is continually shut down, and Little League and WCPR of no help.

 Grassland players also have a an impossible bias to overcome to make Nolensville All-star teams.   Very few Grassland players have ever been selected for All-stars in Nolensville.  For over two years, Nolensville Little League has refused to change their boundaries, or share territory.  We believe adding Grassland to Little League will only improve local competition and strengthen Little League and WCPR for the children. The proposal for a Grassland Little League charter is stuck in an endless dispute with existing leagues that already locked down the boundaries and charters. Those leagues refuse to yield, and Grassland families are the ones paying the price every single day!

Transparency: Nolensville Little League currently holds the ENTIRE boundary for the Grassland, Brentwood, and Franklin communities. The fact they will not  entertain a conversation to have MORE kids playing Little League in our area says it all. ALL Grassland kids are the ones stuck in traffic instead of on the field, missing out on competitive games and solid coaching right here at home. 

This petition demands that Little League International step in, review the existing boundaries, overrule the local resistance that has blocked progress for multiple years, and force approval of the Grassland Little League charter. Grassland parents are done accepting long drives and blocked opportunities as the only option. Our kids deserve competitive Little League play and coaching in Grassland, not another wasted hour in the car both ways.
