2025 petition against JP Morgan Chase 5 day work week Return to Office RTO policy
The Issue
As a dedicated employee of J.P. Morgan, I find it increasingly challenging to reconcile the company's decision to enforce a return to a full five-day office presence. This policy change happens despite the proven success of the hybrid model over the past five years, following pandemic-related adjustments. Our team has thrived in this balanced and flexible environment, demonstrating that we no longer operate in the retrospective confines of a 1990's mentality.
Many colleagues share this sentiment, valuing the opportunity to blend their professional responsibilities with personal lives. The hybrid model has become a source of motivation and productivity, allowing us to contribute effectively to the organization from home or office. The firm's recruiting strategy paradoxically continues to advertise new roles as hybrid, causing dissonance and mistrust amongst both potential hires and current staff.
We also believe this return-to-office policy reflects a concerning lack of progressive leadership within J.P. Morgan. Resistance to modernised work methods can restrict innovation, hinder employee satisfaction, and ultimately, impact the company's competitive edge. Consequently, we strongly advocate a change in the executive leadership to reflect the changing times and employee needs.
Therefore, we urge J.P. Morgan to reconsider implementing the full five-day in-office policy and encourage new leadership that recognizes the importance of work-life balance and flexibility for its employees. Please join us in signing this petition to advocate for a future-proof approach to work at J.P. Morgan.
