This is a NEW petition to bring back Wendy’s Sweet & Sour sauce- there is an old petition circulating from 2017. Please sign this petition for 2025!

Wendy’s has discontinued their Sweet & Sour sauce and replaced it with their new Sweet Chili sauce. 

This recent decision has already begun to negatively impact customers, as many have expressed their shock and disappointment across many online forums and social media platforms. The majority of people can agree that sauce can make or break a meal, which is why this recent change is being taken very seriously amongst Wendy’s consumers. To note, there are other popular sauces that have been revamped/discontinued alongside Sweet & Sour.

Loyal consumers have stated the S&S sauce was the sole reason they have continued to consume Wendy’s over other fast food chains such as McDonald’s and Burger King. Many have described the sauce as “elite” and have also expressed that the sauce is so good they’ve wanted to drink it. There are also those who have stashed away unopened S&S sauce cups (maybe sounded excessive back then- but certainly not now). All in all, there is an abundance of support and love for this sauce, and many can agree that their Wendy’s experience will be either never the same or nonexistent following this new development.

In review of Wendy’s Sweet Chili sauce, the general feedback is unsatisfactory. As someone who consumes sweet chili sauce almost regularly, I can tell you that I will not be using Wendy’s Sweet Chili sauce again. After one taste, it just doesn’t measure up to and certainly cannot replace the flavor profile of their now-discontinued S&S sauce.
