2024 Refuse Parole for Adrian Williams, Convicted Murderer of Three-Year-Old Jason Evers

The Issue

In 1982, the light of an innocent life was cruelly extinguished. Three-year-old Jason Evers, a beloved member of our family, was brutally murdered by Adrian Williams. This horrific crime tore us apart, leaving a void and unimaginable grief that echoes to this day. Every memory, every mention of his name brings us back to the fear, agony, and heartache of that dreadful time.

On June 18, 1982, Adrian Williams took three-year-old Jason Evers from the Powel Crosley YMCA next to the child's home in Springfield Township and killed him. He buried the child in a densely wooded area then tried to collect ransom money from the family. 43 days later, Jason's decomposed body was found in a shallow make shift grave.
Williams was convicted of kidnapping and involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 14-50 years. Williams will have served 42 years when he is considered for parole this December.

It is important that justice keeps its grip on this man who inflicted such profound suffering on a little boy and his family. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, people convicted of murder were most likely (56.2% in 2005) to have previous conviction records. Thus releasing them presents undeniable risk to society.

For the sake of Jason, his memory and the safety of our community at large, we urge the parole board to deny Adrian Williams the parole he seeks. Let us ensure that he serves the full penalty for his horrific actions, keep our community safe, and respect the memory of a little boy whose life was stolen far too soon.

We implore those in power, those who can make a difference, to refuse parole for Adrian Williams. Jason never got a chance to live his life, it's only fair that his killer doesn't get to live a normal life either. For Jason, sign this petition.

Also, If you would like to write a letter to parole board to deny Williams parole, Please send a letter by the end of October 2024 and include his prison number on the letter at the top of the letter.
