1. “Save Punjab from yearly floods – demand a Punjab Flood Safety Plan 2030.”

Recent signers:
Diyal Kaur and 15 others have signed recently.

The issue

Punjab is drowning every year — and it is preventable.

Every monsoon, floods devastate our villages, cities, and farmlands. Thousands of families are displaced, crops worth crores are destroyed, and lives are lost. This is not just a “natural disaster” anymore — it is the result of poor drainage, neglected embankments, and unplanned dam water releases.

We, the people of Punjab, demand a Punjab Flood Safety Plan 2030 that includes:

Modern stormwater drainage in all cities.
Stronger embankments and flood diversion canals.
Coordination with Himachal and Haryana on dam water releases.
Protection of wetlands and floodplains from encroachment.
Community flood warning systems for early evacuation.

Relief after disaster is not enough. Punjab needs long-term planning and infrastructure investment to protect people, farmers, and future generations.

We call upon the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab and the State Government to urgently announce and implement this plan.

Together, we can stop the yearly destruction and build a safer, stronger Punjab.
